Help Needed

This used to be my vegetable plot (courgettes mainly). The gate and fence was to keep the dogs out (died at least 8 years ago). The green thing was one of those things that you are supposed to bury and then put all your food waste in. Apparently perfect compost would develop. I obs had the wrong technique because all that developed with mine was a stinking mass. I didn't have time to plant any courgettes this year and it has all got a bit overrun with weeds and what is now mature bindweed (I have no trouble apparently with developing very mature bindweed). Sigh.
