Art in the alley

A lot of the time the back to back  alleys in Greater Manchester are grim places cluttered with bins and rubbish. But directly across the road from our house they've done something different. Planters with floral displays, decorative arches, murals, hanging baskets and the like have brightened up an otherwise grim prospect.
Now they have regular arts and crafts events which have proved very popular with locals.In keeping with Manchester's favourite symbol, Ben the photographer who lives opposite produces bee-themed pictures and montages, one of which is now in our kitchen. I keep telling him about blipfoto, but don't think he's got round to checking it out yet.
