Leonberger

A mountain dog of German origin, the Leonberger is said to be intelligent, playful and very agile despite its size, and can be used as a search and rescue dog, particularly in water. This female was one of two that approached me today in a friendly way. Her double fur coat, which is water resistant, was very thick but soft to the touch. Her size was very impressive close up!
