Simonside

Ailie called to drive us to the car park for Simonside. We walked up through the trees then reached the road in the blip befor3cwe headed up through the rocks to the summit. It is a pleasant stroll along the tops after that. However the rain pelted down and despite th3 raincoats we got wet.

In the afternoon Mr C and I tried out our packing to make sure we were under i the 15 kilos for the trip. Phew 13.5 - amazing. Sadly the forecast is bad for the Hunza valley - rain - and snow for Fairy Meadows, which might prevent our scary jeep ride and walk to Nanga Parbat base camp. We remain optimistic.

In the evening Ailie called to drive us to Chris’s for a roast dinner. It it years since we’v3 had that but it was delicious.
