Wedge Pond Reflections

After yesterday's blip from Newcastle airport, the rest of my journey was excellent, with no problems at all. I was lucky again - I was upgraded to Premium Economy at no extra charge for the 9-hour flight from London to Calgary and it was a pretty new 787 Dreamliner so it was an extremely comfortable flight (thankyou to BA!). I was able to meet some of the rest of our 12-strong party that night and met the rest at breakfast this morning - they're a super bunch.

There's currently 3 other blippers in the party: John Gravett (our boss leader), Graham Colling and KenH. So you can see more photos from our holiday on their blip journals.

Today we drove from Calgary to Canmore, but took some detours to visit the most photogenic sites.

There were some superb reflections on Wedge Pond, as you can see in the main blip. I like the gnarled tree stump in the first extra, and the light on the high cliffs in the second. This last shot was taken on Highwoods Pass, the highest paved pass in Canada, at 7,200 feet.

A wonderful day in great company!
