Hoopoe!

After hearing of the Hoopoe in Cromarty yesterday but being busy on the lovely boat trip, we popped up there this morning. A dog had frightened him off just as we arrived so we popped for a coffee at the nearby Slaughterhouse coffee shop. After giving him a little time to settle we headed back and there he was :)
We then left him in peace, took a little walk around the beatiful village and heading back spied him again. I got the impression the local Jackdaws aren't quite sure what to make of this strange bird in funny attire ;)
