Dendritic

Now that the butterfly season is all but over its time for me to get back into printmaking. I'm working on a design for a Lacewing print but am struggling to compose a suitable background. I came across dendritic monoprinting recently and thought I might try it out. There are several variables to play with - volume of ink, type of ink, plate pressure, printing weight, paper weight and smoothness, etc - leading to different outcomes, albeit all with a characteristically dendritic pattern.
