Hurricane Preparation

In the 3 o'clock position is our emergency food storage container.  It is full and ready with enough to keep us going for a week.

We already have many supplies for hurricane preparation but with Florence being a huge one we've added a few extra items.  

Some extra heavy duty extension cords.  Yes, disposable dishes etc can be important as washing them is sometimes not an easy task!  

Some tie down straps because you just don't know!  A couple more 5 gallon gas/petrol containers.  Tow straps, as these can be used for many things.

We already have a small portable genset (20 years old) but have gotten a new one just in case.  

This storm is going to be a major impact for us, just how major is the unknown.
