Monday WI meeting
After a break for August, my WI meetings have started again. Today’s meeting featured a talk about the making of Warhorse from Andrew Robertshaw who is a historian who worked on the film. It was a really fascinating talk dispelling a lot of myths. For example horse mortality before the war was 15%. During the war it was 11%. And they weren’t all shot because it was too expensive to bring them home, a lot of them became working horses on the Continent...
Excellent meeting.
