The Big Thaw

Yesterday and today it was sort of warm, so most of the snow melted. Now we have some "ponds" in our yard. I walked around and some spots are deeper than my boot went!! My socks were soaked.

We took Cujo back in the woods and he was soaked from belly down. But when we took Hunter for a walk down the street, she was perfectly dry. I thought the road would be flooded but it was not because the ice in the ditches were still ice.

This is the pond in our woods, and our neighbor said there used to be beavers in there before we moved. Usually it's just muddy in there but if someone went in there today, they would probably be soaking wet. :)
