Brochs
Went to see the brochs at Glenelg with my daughter Em, and her boyfriend Martyn.
Brochs are only to be found in Scotland, and include some of the most sophisticated examples of dry stone architecture ever to be found. These steps run in between the outer and inner walls, which are likely to date back to between 100BC and 100AD.
The weather wasn't great again - overcast and wet. I took other shots of the whole structure, but they were badly overexposed in the sky bits. (Note to self - will have to try and get better at sorting that sort of stuff out).
When we got back I looked up the Sea shall sculpture place, and realised that we drove past it today! Will have to go another time, as that looks amazing.
Off to Inverness tomorrow.
