Great spotted woodpecker

The woodpeckers have returned after a Summer break.This juvenile is a regular now coming every morning and making the other birds wait for their breakfast.
Plenty of heavy showers today but sunshine too, rather windy creating lots of white horses on the water. It must have been to rough for the VIC 32 to come out .
Mike had two tyres replaced on the car,they do not last very long and managed to get me some bargain netballs, 3 for £10 for Brownies.
We went to Inverness in the evening to see a film about Andy Goldsworthy called River and Tides , it’s an old documentary which they are showing at Eden Court before the new film, Leaning into the wind comes out .Fascinating and sparked my ideas for Brownies :)
Saw lots of frogs on the road and three roe deer as we went up the hill.
