A tiny bit worried - #TT172

I couldn't believe it when I saw these ducklings this morning.  They were floating down the river on a huge slimy mat of dead reeds and detritus.  Mum was with them, so they were okay in that respect (for now!) but they looked much too tiny for September in England.  So a bit worried.  I understand there's a 70% chance of us having another El Nino event early winter.  You have to hope they survive, but I'm afraid they may make a foxy supper one cold evening soon :o((
