Meeting an Old Friend

Back in Auld Reekie after what seems an eternity treking around Oz.

Heading home from Singapore our first leg was to Abu Dhabi - what a shithole that airport is! We land and are quite surprised that we are to be bussed from the plane - no airbridge? Whatever we get to the gate where we are to catch the Edinburgh flight and are treated like cattle, to be honest Rancid Air (the worst of budget airlines) treats people better than we were treated. Next we discover that we are to be bussed out to our plane - ???? They seem to have no idea about how transcontinental flights should be handled, especially in the middle of the night when passengers may have been on a plane for 7+ hours at a stretch and are tired. And this costs many hundreds of pounds for the privilege of being treated, basically, like shit.
