With an improving weather forecast we decided to shop in Keswick  instead of Windermere. 

The effects of the overnight rain were obvious both as we drove and on our walk along the lakeshore in Keswick where Derwentwater was higher than I've seen it for a long time. 

Housework this afternoon while the sun shone :(

Two extras .......... 'release of the hounds' and 'roots'. My husband made me take the latter.
