Back lane in Benwell
I was in Newcastle today for my mental health check - very good advice given by my excellent psychiatrist. I am so lucky to have him helping to keep me well.
On the way home I called at Asda in Benwell for milk and bananas. There is a tiny car park and the place was heaving. I was glad to escape without scraping my new car (still unnamed).
I spotted this very open back lane nearby. The houses that were on the left of the picture have been knocked down so the place is much lighter than you would expect. There were not many rubbish bins in the lane, but it looked as though two of them had been torched. There were some black bags of rubbish and I don't think the council will collect those. There was a lot of rubbish and glass strewn around. It is a million miles away from where I live in terms of quality of the environment. Very sad to see.
Home for a nap then a quick walk "around the block" before dinner.
