The Official Welcome Party

Tonight was the official greetings party for the latest recipients of German Citizenship in Charlottenburg. The sun shone on lots of fascinating people from many different countries. We had music, food and drink.  Getting my German passport + ID card was one thing. This really has marked the beginning of a new chapter. The evening began with Schiller's Ode to Joy and finished as we all stood and sang the German National Anthem .
I've included Sophie Charlotte hence Charlottenburg and the coat of arms .Re the odd lady in black no idea who she is :) .
