9/11 Memorial

I was here at Olympic Park yesterday, visiting a friend, unaware that I was just metres away from a piece of devastating history - and on it’s 17th anniversary no less.

Whilst watching a documentary on 9/11 last night, I googled what had happened to all the debris. A piece went to every state in the US and then more to countries around the world, either to be exhibited as ‘sculptured art’ or to be housed in museums.

This is our piece, tucked on a mound, largely out of sight unless you are specifically looking for it, in an unhappily unkempt landscape.

It’s incredible.
