The Tiniest House in Town

I wonder about the history of this place. There was a lovely big pub, The Chequers, and someone decided to squeeze a tiny little house in the driveway next to it. Quite odd. Incidentally, the car parked in front of it has a small collection of parking tickets stuck to the windscreen.
