Sées Cathedral
The overnight crossing from Portsmouth to Le Havre with Brittany Ferries went smoothly and we had a good nights sleep and freshen up in our cabin before setting off on our drive to The Loire Valley where we are staying for a fortnight.
We decided on doing the A roads with a good 6.5 hr drive with stops. The nicest stop was at the lovely Normandy town of Sees with it's cathedral built on the site of a Roman temple. The present structure was started in 1210 and is magnificent inside and out.
The blipfoto is two 15mm (full frame) photo's joined together to 'open out' the inside of some of the cathedral to get an idea of its splendour for this weeks Wide Wednesday challenge on that theme.
