Old Town

Had a good nights sleep at last even though I woke up in the middle of the night with sore sinuses. Late breakfast and arranged to get an extra hour on the room. Had a walk around the waterfront of Guayaquil. They have done a good job of this part of the town with lots of security to make it feel safe. Does make you wonder what the rest of the city is like. Used to be a very old port and you can still walk around the narrow streets of brightly colourer buildings in the old town. Transport arrived to take us to the airport. Seems everyone in Equator was at the airport to see someone off with large crowds of people standing around saying goodbye to one person getting in the way. Spent some money in the duty free before getting on the long flight home
