Light at the end of the tunnel ....

A frustrating day weather wise again.
Went away down the road to check straw . Would have very nearly been dry enough to bale . Came home to get things organised to combine the last 45 acres of barley. Once round the field and a heavy shower stopped us in our tracks . Then had to watch as the said downpour carried on and soaked said fields of straw away from home. Combine contractor went home, then came back to make another start around 3 pm. Got twice round the field this time before another heavy shower. Got going again around 5pm and managed 30 acres by tonight. Combine needs diesel to finish the last 15 acres so we eventually gave up around 10 pm.
Roll on bed time !
