Burncrooks

Wednesday's walk with Cumbernauld & Kilsyth Ramblers was a 12km circular through Auchineden Wood and around Burncrooks Reservoir (pictured, and without filter too!)

The rain started just as we arrived at our start-point and we all put on our wet-weather gear. However that soon passed and we then walked for a while in clear, dry weather before another shower hit us. After that, though, the day brightened up and we were well rewarded by some wonderful views. We could even see Ben Lomond to the north, although the scenery closer to hand was just as spectacular.

One of these days when Rambling is actually quite enjoyable!
