An old favourite

I may have fallen off the blip-bandwagon for a couple of days, but all for a good cause. My latest assignment is finished, so now I can move onto the next one, due Monday next week.

So to celebrate, I had a wander around the garden, taking photos of some of my old favourites. Now spring is here there is colour and loveliness everywhere with so many plants in bloom.

I chose this lovely Australian native plant, Bottle Brush (named for obvious reasons), or Callistemon (to the scientifically minded) mostly because this is how it appeared straight from the camera - no cropping, no fancy effects, simply au naturale.
