Boattrip to Müggelsee

We had planned to be in Treptow for the 11 am departure to cruise the Spree!
Unfortunately we both overheard our alarms and got up late. I hate rush after getting up, but we managed to be there at 5 to 11, just to find out that the boat was already loaded and full.
We bought tickets for another tour into the same direction at 12 pm.
That allowed a coffee and a short rest.
At 11:30 we boarded our boat with 250 others. Neil found us a place at the front which was great as we did not see those 250 others at all!
The weather was great, the boatsman was telling us a lot of interesting stories about the buildings etc we passed and they had a fabulous service for food and drink on board.
We had actually planned to get off at Müggelsee and make our own way back through Köpenick, but in the end we decided to stay on the ship and get off in Köpenick on the way back.
We had a good and relaxed day, sitting mainly on our bums and enjoying the scenery.
It was incredible to having not left Berlin at all and cruise through canals and across lakes.
We saw VERY expensive parts where people pay Millions of Euros for a small plot of land!
At 4 pm we had sat enough and were happy to get off in Köpenick. This is a lovely old township surrounded by water and bridges.
We got chatted to by a mad Irish man, who was busking there. He was nice enough, but it was almost impossible to get away.
He insisted that he would be playing a song for us, and to be honest, I could have probably played the guitar better. His singing was not too shabby.
We then went for a coffee and I had a "quick" catch up with Jack which took 45 minutes or so.....
We wandered along Köpenick a bit longer then went to the Alte Laterne for food and a beer.
On the way home we had another ice cream at Vanille and Marille.

It was a great day and we finished with a board game.

Weather should be bad tomorrow - we do not even plan to get up .... :)
