Contorted Willow

Walking into the sports centre by a different path last night I came upon this lovely willow, so today I returned to get a record of it.

There's a lot of planting around the building, both in containers and flower beds. I think it must represent different projects completed at different times. Some of it is excellent - good choice of plants in pleasing groups. Other areas work less well, though some will improve as things mature and fill the gaps. The large planters of annuals are past their best now, battered by recent wind and heavy rain.
