Seriously learning Italian

Week 1. Encouraged to find I do know quite a few words in Italian already, including the numbers from zero to ten. If I can get a few simple rules about pronunciation into my head there will be just he stringing into sentences trick to master. 

But here's a sentence already : "Il mio nome e Cath."
