Burj Khalifa, Dubai
I’m glad to have experienced this place but 1 night, as in Vegad, not 2, would have been fine.
Everything is horrendously expensive to we budget travellers - to get to the top of this high tower, which, at 2,770 ft, almost Munro height, is impressive, would have cost over £100. So we admired it from the Mall. They are proud to tell us it is the biggest in the world - we certainly appreciated the aircon, as it was a very humid 36 outside. My dress was dripping by the time I’d Walked the 5 minutes from our hotel, across a building site and then over a 6 lane highway.
Tonight we got a taxi so that we’d not drip into our food at the restaurant by the lake where we had a delicious Thai meal overlooking the dancing fountains. They were impressive though we prefer natural, not man made, wonders. Mr C is reeling at the cost.
