Today is Alfie's birthday. 16. It is amazing how fast time has flown, it seems just moments since he was born, a tiny helpless little baby, now look at him, 6ft of proper geezer. 

We bought him a watch. I was glad he wanted one, it feels like a proper present and something good to mark being 16, which feels like an age with significance.

Dinner out this evening, Maison Du Steak which was excellent, Alf ordered his first legal beer which I think he was very happy about.

Apart from Alf's birthday I had a couple of interesting meetings. The first was with Marcus our Landlord. We were supposed to be discussing how and when we will move out, we ended up playing table football and talking business. Very odd.
