Burns on Trees

The Humble Petition of Bruar Water to the Noble Duke of Athole:
'Let lofty firs and ashes cool,
My lowly banks o'er spread'
written by Burns to the 4th Duke of Atholl after his visit to the area in 1787. The 4th Duke duly planted trees around the falls.
