Grounded

Stuck at the airport in Mugu for a fourth day. Every time they say there will be a plane for us today and then it gets cancelled or sent somewhere else.

This is the runway approach. It’s also not very long, but the planes that come are very small so not much of a problem to stop before falling off the other end.

We gave up waiting for a plane after this long and together with new friends from RAP, we hired a jeep to drive us to Jumla where we hope to have better luck at catching a flight to Nepalgunj and from there back to Kathmandu. The drive is over 8 hours over rough mountain roads. Note the old wreck left reassuringly at the side of the runway.
