Way up north

My absence has been due to the fact that we have been away up in the north celebrating numerous birthdays. First and foremost we were up there for my father in laws 70th birthday but we also had a birthday party for our niece who turned 20 and a nephew who turned 8. Five days of relentless weight gain (ie eating and drinking).
I didn´t have much in the way of chances to take pictures while I was up there, well nothing blip worthy at least, and that was not helped by the lack of daylight hours.
I shall endeavour to catch up with commenting etc over the coming days.
