Choir director William looking slightly suspicious as he is presented with a gift by notorious practical joker P. He needn't have worried; we had a whipround to buy him a copy of Dorico Pro. This is better than the year when, for some reason I can't remember, he was presented with a pack of underpants.

The concert went pretty well ... no major oopsies, despite the limited preparation time, and William reckoned we had never sung the wonderful Pärt Salve Regina better. We had been promised a collation afterwards which was slightly disappointing: miserly servings of wine and some trays of apple tart. As I hadn't had any dinner, I had been hoping for more than this. Home after midnight, too late to eat, so I just had a mug of herb tea before bed.
