Redhill

We've arranged to go to The Stag just outside Stratford this evening with Jo and James for a meal.  So as we haven't been there for a while we decided to pop in for morning coffee and make sure it was still there, as it has been for the last 500 plus years!   Apparently this old coach house on the Alcester Road used to be the courthouse and town prison. It has some original feature, not bars on the windows, and is comfortable  with cosy corners.

After a drink we went for a country walk from the back of the pub, green and peaceful away from the busy main road.  There was a bumper crop of blackberries.
