Fresh orange juice
Yesterday I bought a t shirt from a German designer living locally in Santorini , whom I had read about, having finally tracked down his workshop. He spotted my camera and gave me a list of places to visit for photography opportunities. We have ticked off several of them today. We went to a village called Emporia, which we had previously driven through and thought rather ordinary, but we had missed the historic old part of the town and it was delightful, and baking hot! We stopped for refreshments at a little tiny cafe run by a couple. They made freshly squeezed orange juice, three types of coffee and that was about it. The coffee was delicious , served with homemade biscotti.. They had a collection of old bits and pieces of equipment , including this set of scales loaded with oranges. I liked the reflection in the window of the man in the hat sitting outside. The extra shows one of the many little alleyways in the town. Oh and we bought a couple of pictures at a small art gallery.
I have solved the problem of freshly squeezed orange feet by the simple purchase of a pair of beach shoes. They are brilliant!
We have extended the rental on Thompson, our Renault Twingo , for another day as we're having so much fun discovering new places.
