Scotland v Poverty
A quick blip before I head bedwards, here's a nice shot of some of the dignitaries who came along to the NIDOS Scotland v Poverty exhibition reception in Stirling this evening. I did promise you politicians, so here are two of them in the company of a 'mob' of high heid yins from The Leprosy Mission (TLM - you will be glad I'm using the acronym by the end of this!)
L-R these lovely people are: Rev. Pierre Geiser, Secrétaire général TLM France, Humza Yousaf MSP, Scottish Government Minister for External Affairs and International Development, Linda Todd, CEO TLM Scotland, Dr Yousif Deng, Country Leader TLM South Sudan and TLM Sudan, Bruce Crawford MSP, Dr Zaw Moe Aung, Country Leader TLM Myanmar (Burma), Dr Sunil Anand, Director TLM Trust India, Dr Sunday Udo, National Director TLM Nigeria, and finally Brent Morgan, Executive Director TLM New Zealand. A lovely evening was had, some great conversations, but the journey back to Glasgow was delayed somewhat, developing a detour back to Stirling, when Sunday realised that he had left the bag containing his passport at the exhibition venue in Stirling. Not just a minor nuisance, but a real nightmare as he is flying from Glasgow down to London tomorrow! His 'friends'/colleagues will take great delight in winding up him about this over the next few days as they are all heading to London for TLM International meetings.
Off to Edinburgh for a NIDOS event tomorrow, so life is as hectic as ever! Hope you are all well and hope to catch up soon.
