New feathers
Still plenty of goldfinches around.Large groups feeding on the seeds from the ragwort and dock. All of a sudden they head into the sky and disappear into the trees.
The pigeons are nest building in one of the trees, each taking up the tiniest and skinniest of twigs that it finds under the trees near the burn.
Wagtails are leaping up catching insects as they rise and try to escape.Their black and white tails bobbing up and down.
Still calling high in the sky are the remaining swallows, almost drowned out by the honk of returning geese.
