William Brown's Louth Panorama
Heritage weekend and historian Richard Gurnham is explaining some details in the panorama painted in 1847 - a 360° view from scaffolding at the pinnacle of the spire of St James's church.
This is one of two 9' x 6' canvasses displayed in the town council chamber, formerly the old courthouse.
A good copy of the panorama is displayed in Louth museum.
The Mayor's robes are displayed on the left.
