Queen on Asclepias
I opted for focused shot on the Queen (Danaus gilippus). It got my attention first as it is big and orange. Didn't see the other bug killing a small native bee until I downloaded the photos. I have a focused shot of that bug literally with the bee speared onto some pointed thing on its head. On most of the other stems are loads of Aphids. The butterfly is only about 3" across as you see it here. This is the flower Asclepias subulata. I blipped its seed pod the other day.
