Park bench with lichen

Today was a cold, gloomy November day. Dixie and I wandered across to our green. This park bench covered in lichen with a backdrop of shrubbery turning orange caught my eye.

For a moment, it was like watching time unfold... Until my ears started to get too cold and my warm house and a cup of tea beckoned.
