Saturday night at the Curzon
After attending a gathering of Mr PP's maternal family in the afternoon, with all his late mum's surviving siblings present (7/11), including one over from Australia, four of us then went to a fabulous old venue - the Curzon in Clevedon - for an evening's entertainment from Dr. Phil Hammond. He is touring with his new show Happy Birthday NHS? Funny, moving, informative and uplifting! The venue has been open without a break since 1912 and its red tin wall coverings are an impressive feature.
After our gruelling couple of weeks of Mr PP's experiencing more good than bad from the NHS, it was also uplifting for us that our son, daughter-in-law and Bug our grandpug, drove over for a few hours. A long journey for them, but we much appreciated seeing them. Bug and Ollie got on very well. See Extra. Poppy was less keen on Bug - but she is a little princess. (Another Extra!)
