A walk in the Vineyards

Every year, with the same friend, I go walking in the vineyards in the Lavaux area near me.

The weather was a little disappointing and didn't correspond to the weather forecast of clear skies and sunny.  The sky was actually a bit pale and almost misty and the sun itself stayed behind a transparent veil.  However, we decided to go anyway for our lovely walk above the lake.

We had reserved a table at the well-known Auberge de l'Onde.  You can see their lovely sign in the collage. We also had a delicious glass of Blanc-Cassis. This is a clever mixture of dry white wine and Crème de Cassis (a blackcurrant liqueur). I can highly recommend it if you ever come this way!

The grapes are looking good, both red and white and this year is expected to be a good one!
