Fungi in Humshaugh

I had coffee today with my cousin Maureen and her husband Stephen in Ilkley.

I drove home, arriving during the afternoon. The early rain had gone and the sun was shining. I went for a quick walk "round the block" and found this wonderful clump of fungi near Chesters.

Now identified as Meripilus giganteus.

It's always nice to come home, but it's been an excellent weekend away. Many thanks to Gwen and Chris who organised it for us.
