Strawberry Pond

Mr Mole and I had a wonderful hike on the scenic loop trail above Squires Castle. We were surprised to see a very thinned understory with few ferns and small beech trees drying up.

The dead pine trees on the right have been lying in this pond since I was young, but the fishing piers on the left were built about 4 years ago. If you look closely you can see a fisherman in a red shirt. The photo did not upload clearly again. :(
