Moore Park Road

Walking home from the bus stop includes crossing Moore Park Road, a lovely wide avenue-type road, but with lots of cars! Funny thing is that after crossing 4 lanes of traffic and 2 bike lanes, the most dangerous bit is stepping onto the footpath after I've crossed, where I've almost been hit, more than once, by a bike riding on the footpath! Isn't that what the bike lanes are for?
The palm-type trees are cabbage-tree palms (livistona australis), native to the east coast of Australia. I think they are named this way as the tops look like cabbages stuck on top of the trunks? They are actually a nice tidy palm, and have become quite popular for street plantings recently.
In the distance is the stadium, where the concert was on Sunday night. In the foreground are more agapanthus.
