No trout fishing allowed

Had a weekend 'getaway' at a campsite in Nunnykirk, rural Northumberland. On Sunday, we walked to Fontburn reservoir and back with the dogs which was farther away than we realised! The extras show the inquisitive cows who greeted us halfway up the hill. Once at the top, we could see that the water levels were very low exposing steep muddy banks and, for this reason, the reservoir had been closed off for fishing.
We made it back to the site with weary legs to be greeted by our eldest daughter and boyfriend who joined us for lunch.
