Pollok House
Another grey day with the light just begining to break through. Blue skies for the Golf this afternoon and another early Blip. Was up earlier than usual had to get car in for manufacturers recall repair. So no car will have to go golfing. Janice is dropping me off and hopefully the car will be ready for collection later this afternoon. Pollok House great place to go for a stroll even when the weathers this bad because it's all tarmac roads instead of the usual muddy paths. The Big Hoose regarded as one of Scotland's grandest Edwardian country homes, Pollok House offers peace and tranquillity, only 3 miles from Glasgow city centre and a short distance from the famous Burrell Collection, in the heart of Pollok Country Park. The ancestral home of the Maxwell family, dating back to the thirteenth century, Pollok House is famous for its striking architecture, luxurious furnishings and world-famous art collection, including masterpieces by El Greco, Blake and Murillo. It is a National Trust for Scotland House.
