Mono Monday: Escape

I don’t sit down and read very often, but occasionally I like to read something completely different.
This is one such book, about the Englishman James Holman, known as The Blind Traveller, who explored numerous parts of the world in the early nineteenth century.
It’s fascinating to read how he covered such tremendous distances, most of them with no travelling companion, and subject to the basic conditions of transport and medicine at that time.
