Day 3 - Swim Walk

The wind picked up, and the clouds descended today.  A different beast of a day altogether to yesterday.  We got a boat out to Bryher and hopped in the water for a chilly 800m swim to Tresco where we had a short walk to get to breakfast at the local hall.  Delicious porridge, frittata, flapjacks and coffee.  A further walk brought us to the far side of the island for a lovely seaweed 2.7km swim in shallow waters to St Martin's.  Coffee and cakes were eaten there in mostly overcast conditions. The wind had picked up to Force 5 at this point and our final swim which would have been a tough 3km with wind against tide into our faces was changed to a 1km swim in the shelter of the harbour.  Cornish pasties were scoffed on the beach before the boat trip back to St Mary's.
The final part of the weekend was a party which ended in a sing-song on St Martin's, so a late ferry home and I was a happy camper heading to bed this evening.
