Goodbye Gas Fire

The previous owners used this house only for family holidays, probably mostly in the summer so made do with a gas fire connected to a propane bottle in the garden. 
We will be here through the winter. We need a wood burning stove.  Here the nasty old mantlepiece is being removed .
